Professor Psaltis is an Adelaide-trained ENT surgeon, who has also completed sub-specialty training in endoscopic sinus and skull base surgery in the USA. In 2014 he returned to Adelaide, to serve as the Head of the ENT department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Adelaide.
He manages general paediatric and adult ENT and sinus conditions.
Professor Psaltis is also considered a world leader in ENT and sinus research. He completed a PhD in sinus research at Adelaide University in 2008 and has since published over 200 peer-reviewed research articles and 20 book chapters. He now also co-directs the Adelaide ENT and Sinus Research institute and has been involved in cutting-edge research into new treatments for common ENT conditions and chronic sinusitis

Professor Psaltis performs ENT surgery privately at Calvary Adelaide Hospital and Memorial Hospital in North Adelaide. In public, he operates at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with visiting sessions at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
